Organic produce availability changes with the seasons, but tends to be things that most families eat on a regular basis: lettuce, 1mesclun, basil and parsley, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, zucchini, mushrooms.

Summer fruit may include peaches, strawberries, grapes, and bananas and in the winter, citrus, apples, pears and tropical fruit, a total of 5 lbs of fruit. Net wt. 16 to 17 lbs. Includes overnight delivery to most areas.

CHRISTMAS FEASTING

Locally, New Life Natural Food Store can provide organic foods for Marie for a local Christmas Every Day Feast. 

Although they do not stock much organic food, the friendly staff will be happy to special order and deliver organic meat products (eggs, turkey, chicken, dried skim milk and plain, low-fat yogurt*) and organic produce (apples, pears, plums, nectarines*, celery, and Irish potatoes*) for Marie.

*The plain, low-fat yogurt is an addition to the list.

* The Irish potato quota has been covered by two wonderful, out-of-state, organic potato farmers, who have each offered to send Marie two fifty pound boxes of potatoes over the next few months (August 21; accomplished October 22 and April 2011)!  Thank you!
